The Dixon Police Department is pleased to announce the opening of its temporary public lobby at 1855 N. First Street, Suite C, as construction begins on the renovation and expansion of the Dixon Police Department.

Effective immediately, members of the public may visit the temporary lobby for police services previously provided at the department's headquarters. The temporary facility will serve as the department's public-facing location throughout the construction project.

The temporary lobby will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., excluding City holidays.

The renovation of the police facility is a significant investment in the future of public safety in Dixon. The project includes modernization of the existing building and the addition of a second floor, allowing the department to better serve a growing community while providing improved workspaces for police personnel.

"We appreciate the community's patience during this transition," said Chief Robert Thompson. "While our location has temporarily changed, our commitment to providing exceptional police service has not. This project represents an investment in the future of public safety, and we look forward to welcoming the community back to an expanded and modernized police facility when construction is complete."

Police operations will continue uninterrupted throughout construction. Emergency services will remain available by calling 911, and non-emergency assistance can be obtained by calling (707) 678-7070.

The Dixon Police Department anticipates operating from the temporary facility for approximately one year while construction is completed.
