Tomorrow, January 9, the City of Dixon recognizes National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, a community driven observance established in 2015 to provide the public an opportunity to express appreciation for the service of law enforcement professionals.

The City of Dixon is grateful for the professionalism, dedication, and commitment demonstrated every day by the members of the Dixon Police Department. Through emergencies, routine calls for service, community events, and important behind the scenes work, our police officers and professional staff play a vital role in protecting public safety and supporting the quality of life in Dixon.

We also recognize that effective policing is built on partnership. The work of the Dixon Police Department is strengthened by the trust, cooperation, and engagement of our residents, businesses, and community partners. That shared commitment helps make Dixon a safer and more connected community.
