Burglary Interrupted by Homeowner – Suspect Located in Drainage Ditch and Arrested

On July 3, 2025, just after 12:00 PM, Dixon Police responded to a 911 call reporting a residential burglary in progress on the 1400 block of South Lincoln Street. The break-in was interrupted when the homeowner unexpectedly arrived, and the suspect and the homeowner fought. The suspect broke free and fled on foot.

Officers established a perimeter around the neighborhood and began an extensive ground search. After combing the area, the suspect was discovered hiding in a drainage ditch nearby and taken into custody without further incident.

It was discovered during the course of the altercation with the homeowner, the suspect had lost his identification, which assisted officers in a prompt identification.

The suspect, William Interiano-Franco (27) of Dixon, was arrested and transported to a local hospital for minor injuries he received during the altercation with the homeowner. 

The suspect was released from the hospital and was booked into Solano County Jail on the following charges:

    Robbery – California Penal Code § 211

    First-Degree Burglary – California Penal Code § 460(a)

    Burglary – California Penal Code § 459
