The Dixon Police Department is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative designed to enhance the safety and well-being of our community. The Emergency Alert Label program is now available to assist first responders in identifying residents who may have difficulty communicating during an emergency.
This program allows residents to download and print Emergency Alert Labels from the comfort of their homes. These labels, which should be printed in color, can then be displayed prominently near the front door or window of a residence, or in the rear windshield of a vehicle. By making these labels visible, residents can provide critical information to first responders quickly and efficiently.
Police Chief Robert Thompson shared his enthusiasm for the program, stating, “Our primary goal is the safety and security of every Dixon resident. The Emergency Alert Label program is a simple yet effective way to ensure that our officers and first responders are equipped with the information they need to provide the best possible assistance during emergencies. We encourage all residents who might benefit from this program to make use of these labels.”
We encourage residents to participate in this program to help ensure that their unique needs are recognized and addressed during emergencies. For more information or to download the Emergency Alert labels, please visit our website at www.dixonpoliceca.gov/emergencyalertlabels.
Together, we can make Dixon a safer place for everyone.
